Social Enterprise
We propose to deliver both Social Enterprise Awareness and Business Start Up to both year 10 and 11 students. We will do this by working with schools to bring this service into citizenship and vocational lessons.

Working closely with Dr Chris Newis from CBC, The Centre of Excellence for Social Economy Development. Our team will illustrate the benefits of setting up and running a Social Enterprise.
Business Start Up
Our aim is to introduce year 10 and 11 students to Business Start Up and to encourage entrepreneurship. Any students showing an interest in starting their own enterprise will be supported with ongoing Mentoring.
Topics covered:
- Cash Flow and Record keeping
- Marketing and Market Research
- Business Plans
- Environmental Policies
With the use of the Small Business Essentials DVD , students will be introduced to the basics of starting and running a company. The students will each receive a copy of the DVD, which includes interviews with five local small business owners and illustrates the issues they have faced whilst running their small business.
Teacher Development - The Enterprise Imperative
These are one day workshops held at a local business premises.
Objectives
Mock Interviews and Presentation Skills
Our directors will come to school and set up mock interviews for students, helping them to prepare for the World of Business.
