Our Team - Roy Walford
Roy is a self employed Business Adviser, Mentor and Trainer. His experience spans all sizes of organisation; a director of UK's largest Oil Distributor to self employment. Over a period of 30 years Roy has started and run eight of his own businesses in sectors including engineering, catering, business support, distribution and property. Five of these businesses are still flourishing.
Roy is a SFEDI accredited Social Enterprise Adviser and trains mentors to SFEDI approved standards throughout the country and, with colleague Chris England, has established a reputation nationally for expertise in this field.
In recent years Roy has specialised in social enterprise. He was Business Link Herefordshire and Worcestershire's first 'Social Enterprise Champion' and they subsequently were regionally recognised as exemplar in support for the sector. His expertise in support for social enterprise resulted in his being invited to join the board of St Richard's Hospice Trading Company Limited.
Roy has worked as an Adviser for Young Enterprise, supporting the establishment and development of start up businesses in a school setting. He strongly feels that an understanding and enthusiasm for enterprise should be fostered at this early age.
